"Set Your Sets" set it off!

The Wilma was packed and the energy was high. Shay Lee and Finn Anderson were on hand signing posters.

4FRNT's Loyalty kicked off the night, and I was thoroughly impressed. This wasn't just a good first movie, this was a GOOD movie. I hope 4FRNT continues to put out ski porn every fall.

Set Your Sets is a must see for all Montana skiers and snowboarders. The segments from Lost Trail (with cameos by Andy Schulz and Will Moss), Altoona Lodge, Great Northern Cat Skiing, and Moonlight Basin stole the show. Shay Lee showed what a complete skier he is and should be on everyone's radar.

If Toy Soldier Productions film tour comes to your city/town, get to the show. If the tour doesn't come to your town, you can buy your favorite ski movies here very shortly.

Will this be the year?

Our little boy is 18 months old and turns two at the end of the ski season in late march.  I want to get him on skis, but realize that he might be a little to young and not enough balance or coordination yet.  I'm sure he'll hate wearing ski boots.  Most people do, wife included.

He loves the snow and has technically been on skis before.  The kid never gets cold.  Ever.  Its crazy.

If we start him too young, I know it could backfire.  I don't want him to have a bad experience, but I don't want to wait another year before he shreds.

He already has a steezy one piece, a pair of smith goggles, a pair of Joystick poles, and a pair of Moment rockered fat skis for kids.  These skis are seriously rad and I can't wait to see him ripping around the mountain on them.  I really can't wait, but I know I may have to.

Fall is here and that means one thing - ski movie premiere season.

Toy Soldier Productions spent the 2010/2011 winter exploring the Northwestern United States with some of the best up-and-coming talent in the ski & snowboard world. Each found themselves growing into their style, their terrain, and a mindset laid down with the snowfall. Though differing in their aims, they’ve found themselves on a similar path, brought together by the winter and her storms. “Set Your Sights” chronicles this journey.

While mostly shot in Montana, the crew also filmed in Utah, California, Washington, South Dakota, Alaska, Wyoming and Whistler, B.C. Set Your Sights features Shay Lee, Karl Fostvedt, Sandy Boville, Finn Anderson, Dash Kamp, Luke Tanaka, Mack Jones, Pat Cowan, Brock Paddock, Josh Anderson, Cody Perin, Austin Torvinen, Noah Wallace, Pete Arneson, Jake Doan, Sam Hurst, David Steele, John Kutcher and more.
